Asia Cup 2022 Schedule announced

The Asia Cup 2022 will commence on 27 August in UAE with the final set to be played on September 11.

The schedule for the 15th edition of the Asia Cup has been blazoned with the event set to begin on August 27, with the hosts Sri Lanka taking on Afghanistan in the event nature.
India and Pakistan will renew their contest a day latterly in Dubai.
The final is set to be played on September 11.

The Asia Cup, which was last played in 2018, will be played in the T20 format, with nine brigades sharing.

UAE, Kuwait, Singapore and Hong Kong will play a qualifying round with the winner joining India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh in the main event.

The main event will feature six matches divided into two groups. India, Pakistan and the qualifier are in Group A while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan form Group B. Each platoon plays within the group formerly.

The top two teams qualify for the Super 4 round where the teams play against each other in league format again before the final where the top two would feature.

The event was moved out of Sri Lanka to UAE as verified last week.


All matches will start at 6 PM Gulf

Pakistan v Qualifier 2 September, Sharjah

Sri Lanka v Afghanistan 27 August, Dubai
Bangladesh v Afghanistan, 30 August, Sharjah
Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, 1 September, Dubai.

A1 v B1 6 September, Dubai
